Safe-Fire recently conducted specialized on-site technical training at the Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant in Vietnam, focusing on the TempVision 1100 temperature measurement system.
Vinh Tan 4 is Vietnam’s first large-scale supercritical thermal power project, with a total installed capacity of 1,200 MW (2 × 600 MW). Built to rigorous technical standards, the plant utilizes high-efficiency supercritical generation technology, supported by advanced environmental control systems for dust removal, NOx reduction, SOx treatment, and wastewater management. These capabilities ensure compliance with both Vietnamese and international environmental standards, while also placing stringent demands on operational stability and combustion performance.
The training program covered system principles, operation and commissioning, data interpretation, and routine maintenance. It was designed to equip plant personnel with the expertise needed to fully leverage this advanced combustion diagnostic tool—supporting improved operational efficiency, enhanced safety, and more informed, data-driven decision-making.
