As such, Safe-Fire has generated several solid leads and potential partnerships, both within Malaysia and ASEAN region.

From September 3rd to September 5th, 2019, Safe-Fire participated in the 2019 PowerGen Asia exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The
key theme of the Safe-Fire this year is TempVision application on CFB boiler. In addition to its new application on CFB, TempVision also received many inquiries on its capability in reducing fuel in other coal-fired applications.

Safe-Fire completed the retrofit of MB3 Oil Gun and Flame Scanner at Pacitan Power Plant Unit # 1, Indonesia.   The scale of this project included one level of oil igniters and two levers of flame detectors for the 315MW T-Fired boiler.   Prior to the upgrade, the plant experienced challenges in ignition, failure to detect target flames and high maintenance costs.   Safe-Fire  delivered our promises.  The results showed that not only the ignitions at startup were trouble-free,  the oil consumption was reduced.
The capability of W-Flame being able to detect burner flame at various stages  during start-up along with the high quality fiber optic assembly greatly improved the safety operations  of the plant

Specially designed for boilers burning higher ash content coal or operating in harsh environments, Safe-Fire’s MB-3 Igniter resists
the erosion from the harsh secondary air and delivers smooth and trouble free ignition for large coal-fired boilers. Safe-fire’s MB-3 oil
ignition system utilizes high quality atomizer and high capacity spark igniter to ensure the reliability and stability of ignition. The company successfully retrofitted the oil ignition system for Pelabuhan Ratu Power Plant in Indonesia for its 3x315MW tangential firing boilers.

The upgrade solved the frequent jamming problem, saved maintenance costs, and reduced fuel consumption during start-up.

SIDE OIL IGNITER FOR TANGENTIAL FIRING BOILER AT WASSIT POWER PLANT, IRAQ

Burner: 32 sets oil burners & 32 sets side oil igniter
Boiler maker: Tangential firing Boiler by Shanghai Boiler Works LTD.

The Wassit Power Plant is located in Zobidia, Wassit Governorate, Iraq; 137 Km East south of Baghdad. The Phase II of the plant include 2 units of 630 MW tangentially fired oil gas fired steam boiler. Each boiler unit is equipped with 32 oil burners and 32 side igniters. safe-fire’s side oil igniter (SOI-1) is for burner ignition and warm up. It is fix installed but the retractable HESI rod allows it to retract from the combustion zone after completing ignition.

 

This feature extended the equipment service life. The SOI-1 side igniter delivers stable and efficient combustion to the boiler unit.

Safe-Fire’s MB-3 oil igniter is specially designed for boilers burning higher ash content coal or operating in harsh environments. MB-3 Igniter resists erosion from the harsh secondary air and delivers smooth and trouble free ignition for large coal-fired boilers, particularly tangential firing types. Using oil as the fuel, the MB-3 provides the versatility and efficiency of a mechanically or air & steam atomized igniter, suitable for burner ignition and burner stabilization.

The MB-3 Igniter is developed using Safe-Fire’s world-class R&D to ensure high reliability, quality and efficiency for applications where safety and dependability are paramount.

Safe-Fire completed a MB-3 oil igniter retrofit project at the 1X600MW boiler of PT Lestari Banten Energi Power Station, Indonesia. The MB3 oil igniter was installed on furnace DE3 and EF4. The upgrade enabled the power plant to achieve a successful cold start ignition.

Safe-Fire delivered the results of reliable boiler start-up and reduced maintenance costs.

BURNER: 12 sets oil burners & 20 sets coal burners

Safe-Fire High Energy Spark Ignitor (HESI) is a specialty Class 3 igniter. It is used for the direct spark ignitions of oil or gas igniters as well as small scale burners. The company successfully retrofitted the HESI system for Tanjung Awar-Awar Power Station in Indonesia for its 2x350MW tangential firing boilers. The performance of the boiler start-up improved through the upgrade with Safe-Fire equipment as well as the technical expertise on repositioning the relative positions of HESI and oil gun.

The plant benefits from higher ignition success rate as well as cost savings through reduced start-up delays.
